On this matinee, the Syrian-German artist Emad Korkis takes the visitors on a journey through his poems and paintings, accompanied by the Mongolian music of Enkhtuya Jambaldorj.

Emad Korkis arranges his paintings, created since his arrival time in Germany, to phases, which he calls "Schritt ins Ungewisse (Step into the Unknown)", "Zeitklang (Sounds of Time)" and "Movements". Although each phase is self-contained, they cannot be seen separately. It is a strong bond that combines the art of Emad Korkis with his life, in which artistic creation and identity are mutually dependent.
Enkhtuya Jambaldorj's music is also closely linked to her identity. Her play on the Shudraga, a three-stringed instrument, originates from a centuries-old Mongolian musical tradition that has been passed down through generations.

Emad Korkis is living in Germany for ten years. Enkhtuya Jambaldorj grew up in Mongolia and is living in Germany for 17 years.
