Where ART you from? - Opening
Six artists, many project participants - and well over 200 enthusiastic visitors: the opening of the exhibition "Where ART you from?" last weekend left the Gallery Berlin-Baku almost bursting at the seams.
After the opening by gallery owner Parwane and the curators Jessica Fritz, Julia König and Anna Mohrdiek, the artists were engaged in intensive discussions with many of the visitors. It was not just about their artwork, but also about their life stories, which play a very special role in this extraordinary exhibition project.
This can also be experienced during the extensive accompanying program, which invites in many ways to deal with the theme of this exhibition: What does it mean for artists and their work to arrive in Germany - in the actual and figurative sense?
Until the 3rd of March there is plenty of time to continue the dialogue, which had begun so lively at the opening.
